The Riccione theater season gets going again with ''Il tempo dei giganti'': thirteen shows distributed in three symbolic places of the city, with a preview on Sunday 20 October at the Palazzo del Turismo. Here, at 5 pm, Paola Turci and the music critic Gino Castaldo bring Il tempo dei giganti to the stage, a show that alternating music and words retraces the three magical years of Italian song: 1979, 1980 and 1981, a three-year period marked by unforgettable successes by Lucio Dalla, Pino Daniele, Fabrizio De André, Vasco Rossi, Franco Battiato, Rino Gaetano, Lucio Battisti and many other artists. Paola Turci performs the songs live, while Gino Castaldo intertwines analyses and memories of an unrepeatable season.

This preview, included in the weekend in which Riccione celebrates its 102nd birthday as an autonomous municipality, is only the initial stage of a program that brings together authors of crystalline talent and performers beloved by the general public, pearls of contemporary drama and true icons of popular culture. The Palazzo del Turismo - or rather the Granturismo hall, set up inside it for the shows - is the central hub of a season that also touches the Palazzo dei Congressi and the glass pyramid of the Cocoricò: three of the most architecturally representative buildings of the city, transformed into places of theatrical production and sharing.
